Spend Less and Save More
I've been managing my money poorly and often end up shortchanging myself by dipping into my savings to buy things I don't truly need. Knowing that I have easy access to those funds makes it all the more important for me to be disciplined. My plan is to create a budget that focuses on my essential expenses while keeping unnecessary spending in check. This approach will help me build my savings for future goals and unexpected emergencies.
Workout Daily After Work
I used to hop on the treadmill two to three days a week but now I’m really excited to create a regular workout routine that keeps me active at least five times a week! I want to make sure I'm moving my body every day. A few months back, I had some irregularities with my period and even missed it for three months. I think my weight gain may have played a part in that and there's a chance I could have PCOS. So, I'm focusing on shedding some pounds for the sake of my health and I’m determined to make this change!
Set Aside at Least One Hour to Read
I used to read a lot of books and I genuinely miss that fulfilling feeling I experienced when I finished one. In recent years, I've only managed to read about five books a year, maybe just one or two. I want to rekindle my love for reading again. I plan to set aside at least an hour each day for books that capture my interest and aid in my personal growth. This could mean designating a specific time for reading, such as before bed or during lunch breaks, to help turn it into a regular habit.
Declutter and Aim to Live with Less
I want to embrace a lifestyle of minimalism. Ever since I discovered this way of living, I've been captivated by the idea of having less. While I know it can be challenging, I am determined to pursue it. I truly want to simplify my life. I plan to sort through my belongings and declutter my space, keeping only what I genuinely need and cherish. I've already begun this process and aim to donate items to those in need. My goal is to cultivate a more peaceful environment and foster a mindset focused on intentional living.
Get Enough Sleep
I know I've been sleeping late every day. It's time to prioritise adequate sleep which is crucial for my overall well-being. I will aim for at least seven to eight hours of quality sleep each night by establishing a consistent bedtime routine and creating a restful sleeping environment.
Cut Down on Sugar and Eat Healthily
Let’s focus on healthier eating. I seldom consume soda or sugary drinks, but I do have a sweet tooth and enjoy cakes, kuih, and bread. However, as someone managing PCOS, I need to be intentional about my meals and avoid anything that could worsen my condition. It’s essential for me to incorporate more hearty meals and reduce my intake of sweet treats. By making these changes, I hope to cultivate a healthier, more balanced lifestyle that aligns with my values and goals.
Wish me luck!
